Why did we develop Snode drop-proof adjustable dumbbells?
Snode products are built around real training needs. We understand how dumbbells are used in intense workouts. During certain movements, especially when users reach fatigue, they may need to drop the weight safely to protect their body and avoid injury.
That is why Snode spent three years developing the world’s first all-cast iron, drop-proof adjustable dumbbell.
What makes Snode dumbbells drop-proof?
The adjustment system is built into the handle as one fixed structure. The plates use a unique dovetail load-bearing design, so when the dumbbell is dropped, the adjustment system does not take the impact. Instead, the stress point is directed to the first plate, which is made from ductile iron for added durability.
Snode dumbbells are also built with very few plastic parts. The one-piece chrome iron handle has a knurled grip for better control. The plates and cradle are made from cast iron, and each plate is formed with its dovetail groove in one solid mould. CNC machining helps ensure each plate fits with precision.
The result is a durable dumbbell that can be dropped from up to 32 inches at multiple angles, giving users more confidence during demanding workouts.
The 80 lb Snode adjustable dumbbells also offer a compact design, a clean appearance, and 8 weight settings. For smaller weight jumps, users can add magnetic weight plates designed specifically for this cast-iron dumbbell.

This is an excellent piece of equipment that is well-made and easy to assemble and use. The handle has an excellent grip and swapping weights is very easy. Only thing I would strongly recommend is to also get the associated stand to make the best use of this equipment.

I’ve used these dumbells near daily for over 2 years and they have been great. I had an issue arise that was partly my fault outside of the warranty period and the company was very responsive and helped me work through it to satisfaction.

Let me start by saying, I love these. Wish I had gotten them sooner. I hesitated due to the price, and tried to go the 'cheaper' route by getting pairs of dumbbells as I could afford them. Before I knew it, I had a messy setup around my home bench, and doing drop sets became a riddle to find the next pair of weights. The Snodes feel like quality and love having two dumbbells with great flexibility in one clean cradle. The 10 lbs increments are no issue for me, especially after 30 lbs. The 80 lbs limit works well for me. I just slow down my reps, to make it more isometric and fatigue happens as I do that. The grips are a little wider than I'm used to but I like them. Really pleased thus far and using them regularly. As I said, I wish I had purchased them sooner. Two Thumbs Up!
